We are focused on developing the circular economy whilst driving sustainable value through a feedstock led, community-based offering.

We are technology neutral but with a deep understanding of technologies and processes, and a track record of successful global project delivery.

Our end products are Low Carbon Liquid Products and Gases that drop into current specifications and infrastructure.

Our guiding principle is that of “Stewardship” defined as “caring about the impact we have on our people, the places we operate and the world we live in. Our legacy is to lift expectations for our people and our world.” This word encapsulates all we stand for, will do and will achieve.

Who We Are

Terrae Novo offers specialist project delivery and solutions to waste, agricultural residues and energy crop products.

As shown in the chart, you can see that Terrae Novo take advantage of current infrastructure by providing “drop in” products that meet current specification restrictions whilst locking in or reducing carbon emissions, helping the UK and the World on the road to “Net Zero”.

Our first project will produce Low Carbon Liquid Fuels and Products (LCLF’s and LCLP’s).

LCLF’s provide the means for early decarbonisation of the existing vehicle fleet, providing alternative sources of low carbon energy mainly using existing infrastructure.

LCLFs provide flexibility and choice between low-carbon technologies, supporting a “just transition” (the evolution of the energy sector) to Net-Zero. As they are compatible with most of the existing vehicle fleet, they are accessible to all.

LCLP’s provide the means for decarbonisation within the Polymer supply chain, supplying renewable chemical feedstocks into the production of plastics, produced using wastes including unrecyclable plastics.

Our approach is at a scale for a community based offering but with Global reach.

In the short-term we have a UK focus, due to legislative support for the reduction of fossil fuels used in the production of new plastics and the import / export balance as waste, particularly non-recyclable plastic, is exported and diesel and aviation fuels are imported.

For the mid-term we are focusing on Europe / developed countries to look at broader circular economy aspects due to their waste problems and their need for low carbon energy products to displace their growing demand for fossil fuels.

Long-term will be delivering solutions to developing countries, as they strive to grow they first produce residues from agricultural growth and then waste as they become developed, also triggering their desire for fossil fuel replacements.

Chief Executive Officer

Innovative bio business developer, creating, managing and delivering global bio businesses throughout power, heat, fuels and chemicals sectors. He has been at the forefront of many bio industry leading businesses over the last 20 years including setting up the largest Global coal to biomass conversion and latterly setting up one of the largest global traders of biomass pellets to industrial and domestic markets in the world.

Ian Waller

Chief Technical Officer

Internationally recognised bio-economy thought leader, with a track record of success in building companies and working with start-up developers in the bio-energy sector. Having established credibility in oil and gas in operational manufacturing, business project and commercial roles, Ian established his own independent advisory business and has built that to a brand synonymous with professional expertise, flexibility and can-do delivery serving private and public-sector clients.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is the number one priority within Terrae Novo, no significant task will be undertaken without considering the Health and Safety implications and potential controls.

The company will create a working environment which is inclusive for everyone and will aim to achieve a culture which is focused on:

A safety culture which is “Subconsciously Safe” will ensure hazards are controlled and the risk of accidents is reduced. We will create a Behavioural Safety training programme which we will underpin the culture we are aiming to achieve and our ambition across all of projects of Zero life changing incidents.

Environment

Protecting the Environment from our operations is a given for Terrae Novo. We will ensure the company is legally complaint against the legislation identified in the company’s “legal register” and we will go beyond legal compliance and ensure our business and suppliers have a positive impact on the Environment. This will include undertaking an “Impacts and Aspects” assessment of all our operations.
